Nashville State is an accredited institution (SACSCOC), offering more than 80 credit programs and many non- credit programs in career fields relating to: n School of Business and Professional Studies n School of Arts and Humanities n School of Health Sciences n School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math n Center for Workforce Development & Continuing Education With an associate degree or technical certificate, many of which can be earned in one year, you will be ready for a career after graduation or continue learning at a four- year university. Along the way, you can rely on many resources designed to help you thrive, including free personal technology usage and tutoring, and food assistance, textbook, transit, and career assistance. Some students raise the bar in the Honors College, which strengthens their strong academic records. Others immerse themselves in a new culture through our study abroad program. Pay less for higher education Are you looking for an affordable college? With the skyrocketing cost of college, you can graduate from Nashville State at a mere fraction of the cost and possibly debt free. Tennessee Promise, a state scholarship for graduating high school students, covers all tuition and fees not funded by other grants and scholarships. Tennessee Reconnect, is a state grant, available for adult learners. There are many federal, state, and local financial aid programs, scholarships, and work-study opportunities available to qualified students. You could go to college tuition-free. Get support beyond the classroom When you attend Nashville State, you join a supportive community. Our student services and resources are designed to help you achieve your goals. At each campus, you will find guidance starting with the application period and continuing all the way through graduation and career services. Nashville State offers peer mentoring, where current students provide a helping hand to new stu- dents. If you need specialized accommoda- tions, there are specific resources available. We’ll connect you to resources and oppor- tunities to minimize barriers and help you focus on your studies at Nashville State. The Nashville GRAD program provides eligible Davidson County students who are enrolled full-time with financial and academic sup- port, with a free laptop, textbook vouchers, and monthly food and transportation assis- tance. Nashville Flex provides the same for part-time students. The Student Success Center has student success advisors, who are ready to mentor first-time, full-time students as they begin their college careers. Financial empowerment counselors and student re- source managers also provide assistance. The NSCC Foundation works with community partners to offer the Campus Cupboard food pantry, scholarships, and childcare, trans- portation and textbook assistance, along with other helpful resources. Whether on our campuses or online, there are academic and student life events and activities to enhance your college experience. These events include movie nights on the quad, popcorn with the president, , tie-dye Tuesdays, transfer day, songwriters’ night, and lunch-and-learn panel discussions.
