Who We Are: Chattanooga State is a regionally accredited, comprehensive community college in the College System of Tennessee, offering short-term industry- recognized credentials, one- year technical diplomas, two-year degrees, and transfer pathways to four-year colleges and universities. ChattState is home to the Wacker Institute, three high schools—Collegiate High, STEM and Polytech—and most recently, the Global Center for Digital Innovation, a partnership with Hamilton County Schools. College- sanctioned sports include multi-award-winning programs in baseball, softball, men’s & women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball. Graduate Tuition-free: HOPE and Tennessee Promise Scholarships for entering freshmen, Tennessee Reconnect Grant for adults, and the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Grant help students graduate tuition debt- free. In 2023, Chattanooga State and the Chattanooga State Foundation awarded approximately $1M in institutional and foundation scholarships. Economic Workforce Development: Collaborating with businesses and industry to create training solutions, we partner with the community to develop a talented workforce.
