Student Life & Athletics Despite our small size, UT Southern boasts the energy and enthusiasm of larger campuses. Situated an hour south of Nashville and an hour north of Huntsville, we provide easy access to cultural hubs. On campus, you'll find a calendar filled with engaging events, such as food trucks, yoga sessions, and intramural athletic tournaments. These events allow you to explore the campus and your interests while forging friendships. Welcome Week, held at the beginning of each fall semester, helps new students adjust to college life and welcomes returning students back to campus. It concludes with Into the Streets, an FYE-led service project benefiting the local community.
